ANGER was formed in 1993 in Miami, Florida by three longtime friends drummer ALEX MARQUEZ (Solstice, Malevolent Creation, Resurrection, Demolition Hammer, Divine Empire), vocalist GENE NAVARO and bassist KELLY ROS. Not long after the initial formation, guitarists Dennis Munoz (Solstice, Demolition Hammer) and Louis Rodriguez would join, solidifying the lineup.

Though Marquez was building a highly regarded international reputation for himself, he had a love NYC Hardcore and Crossover that needed an outlet, and putting together ANGER was just that.

After recording a single demo in 1994, the band would gain the attention of Germany's ARMAGEDDON RECORDS (a subsidiary of SPV, whom SOLSTICE had already released their classic debut through), sign with the label, and enter Miami's Tapeworm Studios. This resulted in the bands crushing debut, "Miami, FL".

Over the next year and a half the band would play sporadic shows (including the 1995 South Florida Slammie Awards), record a second album ("Prone to Violence", which remains unreleased) and eventually split up. While rumblings of a reunion (which included a set of rehearsals) have shown promise, they have as of this writing failed to metastasize... for now! 

This 2026 reissue, and sixth release in our "Florida Metal Archives" series, includes fresh remastering by Eric Hoffman at Reformata Audio, restored original cover art and a brand new interview was conducted with drummer & co-founder Alex Marquez by Chris Forbes of the legendary Metal-Core Fanzine. CD is packaged in a jewel case with a 12-page booklet packed with rare archival photos & flyers, and complete lyrics. CD is limited to a one time pressing of 300 copies worldwide.
