ELYSIUM were a Ft. Lauderdale, Florida based 4-piece thrash band formed out of the ashes of the highly popular Paramoure of which guitarist/vocalist Terry Allen and guitarist Brett Hart were founding members. Drummer Tim Jorgensen was also a member of the band.
In 1988 Allen, Hart and Jorgensen split from Paramoure to found Elysium. Continuing with their unique style of thrash that was inspired by equal parts Slayer and Mercyful Fate (both "Black Magic" and "Come to the Sabbath" were staples of both Paramoure and Elysium live shows) the band quickly built their fan base. In 1989 the band entered Morrisound Studios in Tampa, with Tom Morris at the helm, to record their sole demo "Inspired Hatred".
This re-issue of "Inspired Hatred" has been remastered by Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me) and includes the bonus track "Crystal Blisters" and video of a full live performance from 1991 (Rock It Club; Tampa, FL) on the enhanced portion of the CD.
FOR FANS OF: Slayer, Mercyful Fate, Atheist, Coroner
