Greensboro, NC underground legends FALSE PROPHET were formed in 1989 and would release two highly acclaimed demos within the international underground, "Sign of the Cross" (1989) and "The Second Death" (1991). In 1992 they would change their name to INFERNAL HIERARCHY and release a self titled 7" EP on New York's Rage Records. They would disband shortly after.

In 2013 FALSE PROPHET would see all of their studio recordings reissued on CD by Heaven & Hell Records and the "Second Death" demo released on vinyl a year later on Blood Harvest Records, now both out of print.

Due to the success of the reissues and renewed interest in the band, FALSE PROPHET officially reformed and have been on a tear ever since.

This late 2019 release features two brand new tracks, "Prayers of Emptiness" and "Divine" (the latter song being released in 2020 as part of a split 7" EP with Kam Lee of Massacre on Metal Bastard Productions), a remix of "Prayers..." by Claudeous Creamer of Possessed, and 3 live tracks recorded in 2019 in Orlando, Florida. The EP was first made available exclusively on their East Coast tour with OBITUARY and EXTINCTION A.D. and then later to the general public.
